Our Nursery Day Care Facilities
We understand how important the first five years of a child’s life are and we are committed to providing a safe, secure and enabling environment in which your child can develop and flourish to the fullest potential.
Activities are planned for all age groups to ensure a flexible and balanced curriculum with a combination of busy and quiet activities, indoor and outdoor play.
Babies
Designated baby areas are warm, comfortable, and safe providing the stimulation babies need to grow and develop. An assigned key person will lovingly support each child in continually achieving their next steps and developmental milestones. Rooms are laid out to foster inquisitive minds, promote language and communication, physical development, as well as personal, social, and emotional growth.
Toddlers & Pre-schoolers
Our toddlers and pre-school rooms are intentionally planned and developed to give children opportunities to learn both through child led play and purposeful play whilst in a safe, secure environment. The enabling environments, both indoor and outdoor, allow children to explore, investigate, and think critically, as well as indoor areas where they can unwind and rest during the day.
Security
All external doors and gates are locked so you can be sure your child is completely safe while playing outside. Our nurseries also have fitted fire alarms, as well as CCTV and intercom systems at all entrances and exits, so nursery staff can identify visitors before they are allowed in. Visitors then have to provide their ID before they sign in.
The children’s names are also entered on a register to record their attendance. All our staff and students are DBS-checked (it used to be called a CRB check), and we follow a strict no-mobile phone policy in the nurseries.
free-flow play
Play & Outdoors
In our nurseries, children can play indoors and outdoors as they choose (it’s called free-flow play), exploring, expressing themselves, developing their ideas and making sense of life.Outdoor play allows children to develop and expand their physical skills, self-confidence, independence, and self-esteem.
All our nurseries have gardens with a wide range of play equipment. From playing with their friends in the mud kitchen and having a go on the bikes or balancing equipment, to having fun in the sand and critically thinking in the construction area, there is lots to do!
All our children benefit from regular trips and outings, which expand their learning experiences and increase their understanding of the outside world.
